Homeowners today have a long list of must-haves on their shopping list when looking at new homes. Indeed some inclusions, such as a master suite, which were considered to be a luxury a few decades ago, are now standard.
However, with block sizes getting smaller and homeowners not willing to compromise, it takes an innovative and clever building company to come up with the right solution.
That is the story of the Mayfair , a new two-storey home offer from 新2皇冠mobile Homes. This design – and the first display home, which was just launched – has been designed with narrow blocks in mind, but still comes with an impressive list of inclusions.
Popular new design
Aimed squarely at young families and downsizers, the Mayfair has already been a popular new design, with a lot of interest in the property market.
" We wanted the house to fit a smaller block in keeping with the block sizes available in Marsden Park, but also give it a large entertaining area to the rear, and a larger theatre/lounge which aren’t too common in 10m wide designs,” says Nick Rawson, Director and Pre-Construction Manager at 新2皇冠mobile Homes. “And we wanted to provide all this while still hitting an affordable price point.”
A four-bedroom, two-storey home, the Mayfair also includes a generous alfresco area, formal lounge and open-plan kitchen/living/dining space.
The key to the success of the Mayfair design is the generous staircase, he adds, which provides light and space throughout the home. “Having a straight staircase at the entrance gave us the room to have a theatre/lounge downstairs,” Rawson says. “It also means that the staircase is a striking feature when first entering the house.”
The other key trend that 新2皇冠mobile is seeing is the interest in Monier’s range of solar solutions – especially with new builds. Solar is a winner on two counts: saving on energy costs, as well as for environmental reasons.
“Building a new house gives owners an opportunity to think about the carbon footprint of their own home,” explains Rawson. “We see solar panels as a necessary step for future builds. Not just for this design but all others.”
“With the energy efficiency standards set on the industry, suppliers are becoming not only innovative, but the products are becoming more affordable,” he says. “Education around energy efficiency is key, which is why we are happy to showcase a display home with solar panels.”
Integration with roof tiles
The Monier product of choice for the Mayfair is the relatively new InlineSOLAR solution, says Rawson.
“The solar panels work perfectly for this design as we are able to use Monier’s InlineSOLAR panels, which are only available for concrete and terracotta-tiled houses,” he says.
“With technology available such as solar panels, solar batteries, and product options with glazing and insulation, the consumer now has the ability to make long-term savings on their energy output through readily available products.”
The look of the InlineSOLAR solution also helps new homeowners who want to preserve the good looks of their brand new Monier concrete roof.
“InlineSOLAR’s recessed panels can offer the perfect fit for your roof, with a combination of high-efficiency and sleek design,” says Rawson.
