The Mayfair

Neutral | Fresh | Warm | Clean | Essential | Comfort

Our brand new display home the Mayfair - built for narrow blocks. Read on to find out about the design inspiration behind our modern home from the 新2皇冠mobile Homes design team, because building on a narrow lot shouldn't come with compromise.

Tell me a little about the Mayfair - what did you want to create with this new design?

Consumer’s in mind were young families looking to enter the property market, and older parents looking to downgrade. The Mayfair is a practical home with which allows for all consumer needs within an affordable product.

What are the key design elements of the Mayfair?

The Mayfair has two areas of high impact through design. The first being the entrance which gives a grand feeling – a straight staircase running from the front door to the first floor, and the double volume atrium which encompasses the whole entry. The perfect opportunity to use a pendant or two.

The second key design feature is the rear of the ground floor. This area was designed in a way to give good symmetry and flow between the kitchen, dining, family and alfresco. Upgrading to corner stacker doors to the alfresco really gives a unique open plan feel to all 4 rooms. The alfresco also showcases a neatly designed BBQ made entirely out of Dekton – a weatherproof engineered stone/porcelain surface.

Do you see a big demand for home designs to suit narrow blocks?

The State Government and Land Developers in the last decade have put an emphasis on smaller retail lots as an answer to Sydney housing demand. Newly created precincts allow for smaller product and higher density.

The Mayfair is suitable for these new developments that allow for narrow deigns with double garages. The Mayfair is also suitable for zero lot line blocks which are an increasing trend over the last decade as well.

What are some of the key features that were incorporated into the design to maximise space?

We wanted the house to fit a smaller block in keeping with the block sizes available in Marsden Park, but also give it a large entertaining area to the rear, but also a larger theatre/lounge which aren’t too common in 10m wide designs. We wanted to do all this whilst still hitting a price point.

The key to the whole design was the staircase. Having a straight staircase at the entrance gave us the room to have a theatre lounge downstairs. It also means that the staircase is a striking feature when first entering the house.

What are the must-have products for the Mayfair?

  • Dekton for the Alfresco Kitchen
  • Wideline corner Stack Doors to Alfresco
  • CSR Bradford Inline Solar Panels
  • 1200mm Wide Entry Door
